My dad listened to a lot of obscure Rock bands from the 60's and 70's. Im sure Rob would know all of them haha. Also, other stuff like Pink Floyd, Supertramp, that kinda stuff.

My Mom's music was a steady flow of Rod Stewart and Rick Springfield.

No music was forbidden, my dad was in a band in college and the singer in his band was my moms cousin so music kinda started my family. Probably expalins why im obsessed with it.

I was in 2 metal bands in high school, but when i started working to save for college i quit music. I played drums decently in one and guitar really badly in the other.
I also sang with a friend who played acoustic guitar, though that was more of just hanging out than a band.

Mom's favorites: Clapton, Led Zep, James Taylor, Dead, Allmans, etc. Dad's favorites: Waylon&Willie and whatever was on the country station, which means, usually, George Strait. When I got old enough to find bands on my own, I got into Pearl Jam & SRV, etc.

Forbidden? Ha. They even let me listen to Richard Marx & Michael Bolton when I was into that in the 8th Grade.

When I was about 10, a couple of friends and I declared ourselves to be a band for a while. I had a guitar that I never bothered learning to play, we had no other instruments and never played a note, but I say that it counts. I was in a band.

That should have been forbidden.
